On July 25-26th we have a full moon in Aquarius (the group) opposing the Sun in Leo (the individual). Also, we are in the final face-off between serious Saturn (resistance) against expect the unexpected Uranus (change). Their first four oppositions started in October of 2008 electing President Obama on a platform of promised change. He still has time it is not over until the fat lady sings.  The first four Saturn/Uranus oppositions were in mutable and adaptable Virgo and Pisces. They were to prepare us for action in the cardinal signs Libra and Aries. The cosmic message is that we must make real changes to our most pressing problems. We want to ride the wave of change for resistance is futile.

On the up side, the Leo sun and Aquarius full moon are both in harmonious aspects to the Saturn/Uranus opposition.  Trines and sextiles (positive aspects) always show the astrologer the way out of the challenge for the client or the group.  The way out of our troubles is through the power and talent of the individual (Leo) and our collaboration with the team (Aquarius).  If we remain humble and see “the bigger picture” that we are all on this journey together. We can create solutions to the difficulties we must face and if we think out of the box. “You are really individual beings, with very special talents, and it would be nice if teachers had the time, or parents had the awareness or skill, to see the children as the very individual, very special beings that they are. What would happen if our leaders were more spiritually aware to the power and influence of astrology? Knowledge is power. If they were to employ astrology it would save us and them vast money, time and energy. All of which are in short supplies these days. The overwhelming and antagonistic energy of the planets, Jupiter (exaggeration) in Aries (let’s fight for I am right) is also squaring off with powerful Pluto (Divine will or egoic will, the Inner King, our Higher Self and the inner Sméagol, our little self who must have the precious.) in Capricorn (choices and consequences).  Macho Mars (god of war) joins Saturn in Libra on the 29^th and opposing Uranus and Jupiter in Aries.  We have a tremendously commanding T-square with Saturn (fear) and Mars in Libra opposing Jupiter and Uranus in Aries all squaring intense Pluto in Capricorn (change or die). Superficial changes will not suffice. We have to make real changes wherever this T-square falls in our natal chart and connects to our natal planets. The summer heat is on and things may not lighten up until the fall. One concern I have is that this energy will give the bully on the playground momentum to attack the weak.  We must stand up to the bullies of the world. Arrogance and meanness can be the downside of this astrological cycle for those without a strong spiritual foundation.  On the upside, the true power is with the inspiring individual like Shirley Sherrod who demonstrated honor, integrity and great character. “When you see someone living something awful, a rocket of desire for their resolution shoots out of you. The Sun is in Leo until August 23 we have the opportunity to be heroic too and take a stand for those who cannot advocate for themselves (the children, the homeless, and the environment.) Even though someone has a platform, is loud and pushy does not mean they are communicating valuable knowledge or truth. The bullies will be running rampant in this climate where people can lose their humanity. We need to choose our battles wisely, yet don’t avoid conflict just to be comfortable. We must stand for ourselves in manner that is both definite and appropriate.  What do we stand for and whom shall we protect? The oceans, the trees, the air we breathe, the Earth we live on and the animals all need our help. This Aquarius full moon declares that we are all in this together.  Be who you really are not who you think others want you to be. Serious Saturn who has been in Virgo the virgin has now entered Libra the lover.  Saturn will be in loving Libra until October 5, 2012.  Our focus will shift from our soul and personal value in work and service to the power of relationships.  Saturn is in his exaltation in Libra who favors fairness and justice. Saturn rules honor, integrity and honesty. Saturn is the teacher’s teacher the guru’s guru. He demonstrates our karmic lessons based on past/present life actions.  He will be testing us in all of our relationships. Saturn makes us work for it (success, achievements, profitable business partnerships and soul mate relationships.) Over the next two years the highest good for all and teaming up with others will be emphasized.

Saturn will be playing match maker.  He will be bringing you a partner if you have been waiting and searching.  In a current partnership Saturn will force you to look at where you may be settling for less than you deserve in your relationships.  Saturn does not step over anything. Whatever you have been tolerating or avoiding for fear of change or being alone will be brought to conscious awareness for your self-mastery.

Saturn in Libra will also unite like/light minded groups of people to come together for a united purpose. Saturn will bring you business partners if that is the next step in your life/work path destiny. The next month will be the most intense and powerful astrological cycle we will ever experience in our lifetime. You can ride the wave of change and reach your fullest potential. On July 11, 2010 we have a total eclipse of the sun in Cancer.  This eclipse will be visible from New Zealand to Patagonia, the southern tip of South America. Cancer is a subjective and sensitive sign.  How you feel.  How you perceive the world around you. How you receive and take in the world. Even the way you carry yourself in the world will be affected.  The sun represents conscious awareness, higher consciousness and our soul destiny. The moon represents our feeling nature, our habit patterns, our past, our subconscious and unconscious mind.  We are experiencing a profound inner transformation on the deepest levels of our brains.  How we think, feel, and react our very core personalities are being transformed. We are experiencing complex transitions and for many crisis transformation. This is a good time to practice self-dedication, check in with your Inner Being, your Inner Child, the “who and what” of you.  You have an inner teacher, a wise part of you that can guide you through your choices and challenges. Through every test and trial we are being initiated into greater self-mastery. We want to listen to our wise inner teacher and be proactive and not reactive. The power is always with the one who acts and not with the one who reacts. If you are too quick to the draw (reactive) you can shoot yourself in the foot (attract unwanted trouble).

This July and August we are traveling through crisis transformation with many crisis stricken personalities in positions of authority, making major decisions hence, this is not an environment for reliable resolution.  Practicing patience and compassion for Self and others can empower us to remedy crisis situations.  We can be the calm center in the eye of the storm. It is important for us to stay positive and keep the faith given the uncertainty and turbulence in living today.  If we take life one day at a time, then our transformation can feel liberating rather than overwhelming. You could not feel bad enough to change the suffering in the Gulf of Mexico or the world.  In truth, the best way to help others is to be a positive person, send love and light to those in need. You can choose to be a lighthouse so others who feel lost may now find their way.

Don’t fear the Reaper

This solar eclipse in Cancer may dredge up the past, you may have painful memories your conscious mind has been unaware of and this could pollute your perceptions. As a result, you may not be making crystal clear choices based on your best interest today. It is important that we practice being fully present. The past is history. We cannot change it. All our power is in the now. The choices we make this day forward hold our power. If the past coming up is too painful, why not give yourself the gift of amnesia? Why not burn the past? Make today the first day of your life. Forgive yourself and forgive others and move onward. Be forward focused don’t let the past define you. We are at the beginning of the new energy, new path and our bright futures.  What you are feeling right now.  This is the new energy.  This is Uranus in Aries announcing the transition to higher consciousness (dimension). I am finding this energy and life can be incredibly exhilarating one day and daunting the next.  It feels like a giant roller coaster of energy, with extreme highs and lows.  There will continue to be a definitive separation of what has gone before and what is coming new in your life. We will all be breathing a giant sigh of relief once we move past the powerful cardinal cross in August.  We will be renewed by the calming energies arriving in the fall. We have been in the most intense astrological cycle in humankind’s history. This powerful transition period started with the grand cross solar eclipse in Leo August 1999 and goes to the August cardinal cross of 2010. We have been in a tidal wave of change so our best strategy now is to keep surfing the energy.  Resistance is futile. Don’t fear the Reaper the planets will only take that which is obsolete to your life path. Go with the flow, this transformational wave will carry you to the right place, at the right time, to your new shore, new friends, new partners and sparkling new you.

There is good news to cheer.

This solar eclipse is positively aspected, both the sun and the moon are in harmony with energetic Mars in Virgo.  Declaring “You Are Important” “You Matter” each one of us has a very important role to play and the elites will listen.  In our new energy, the individual is being given more power and a greater voice.  Mars is the individual and Uranus (independence) is in Aries (ruled by Mars). I don’t know if you caught Rick Santelli on CNBC last week (yelling) telling the President to stop spending money.  If we are courageous, I believe the individual can affect policy in a positive way.  In other words, the individual will be as important as the group now and in the years to come. The individual can affect those in power. The individual who has a positive message of hope and inspiration will be center stage. For instance, Kevin Costner out of nowhere came with an invention that can clean our ocean water of toxic oil.  Robert Redford has dedicated his life to saving our environment.  Bob Barker has been helping to save our precious whales (sentient beings that hold an enormous amount of light) from illegal poaching. These are just a few examples of inspiring people, there are millions more who are making a difference and are part of our solution.  Every person is special and has a unique contribution to our greater good. You have an assignment that no other can fulfill that comes from your soul. You are the sun center (Star) of your universe and everyone in your life is a reflection of your creation (thoughts and beliefs). In other words, you are creating your reality and we are mirroring back to you your creation.  If you want to change your world this can only happen from the inside out, only we can choose happiness. Only we can let go of the negatives, stop criticizing and judging self and others. We can choose to be Proactive Paula or Debbie Downer.   “The Universe is not punishing you or blessing you. In a couple of months we will be able to start making long term plans again.  Until then keep riding the wave of change and transformation to your rightful place of love, freedom and prosperity.
