What Is Your Destiny?

On Wednesday February 6, 2008 we have a Solar Eclipse which is an extremely powerful New Moon in Aquarius where outgrown patterns dissolve, new pathways open, consciousness reorganizes.  This significant New Moon invites us to reflect on our past and future. Where are you standing right now? What has brought you to this point? Where do you go from here?

A date with destiny                                                                                                                           There are two points on the Moon that are very important the North Node (the direction in life you are being asked to go in) and the South Node (where you have come from in the past, past lives.) This Eclipse is closely tied to the Moon’s nodes, the point in space where the Moon crosses the path of the Earth’s orbit around the Sun.  When people are following their North Node they’re in the flow of their soul agreements. In other words, life is going easier because they are honoring their destiny written in their natal birth chart.  When people are not following their North Node and desperately clinging to their past (South Node) out-grown patterns and behaviors, they are resisting their destiny.  This is often demonstrated in suffering, confusion and self-destructive behavior.

For instance, a woman with a North Node in Aries (independence) and a South Node in Libra (relationship) keeps trying to draw her strength, security and identity from marriage. After five difficult divorces, you would think the person would understand that the universe was trying to nudge her in a more independent direction/destiny.  Yet she is miserable while she’s alone, depressed and refusing to embrace her North Node in Aries.  Aries is asking her to be independent, strong and self-sufficient.  This does not suggest she can’t have a partnership. However for her it must be a non-traditional one. Where by both parties are honoring  the freedom and independence of the other. In order for her to flourish, grow and fully develop her Authentic Self and Power which can only come from within and not through the dependence on another.   

 My intention is to help clients be in alignment with their soul agreements, the direction in life that is for your highest good and will lead you to fulfill your destiny. The most empowered, joyful and healthiest path for you.  However, I do respect individual’s choices and free will.  Eventually you will get to that place of alignment with your destiny in this life or the next.  Where is your North Node calling you? Are you in the flow with your destiny?  Or are you resisting what you know you need to be doing?

The dawning of the Age of Aquarius                                                                                              We are entering the Age of Aquarius.  Aquarius stands for the water bearer which is our baptism into the collective consciousness –the challenge/opportunity to transcend differences be it race, creed, gender or nationality for in truth we are all family.  We are all brothers and sisters on the journey of life.  We need to remember this now whether we’re privileged or poor, young or old, liberal, conservative or independent.  We are all one. Aquarius rules the 11^th house in astrology which instructs us to be inclusive and inventive, open and inquisitive.  How well we respect individual freedom and rebuke social injustice depends on how well we have mastered the lesson of the previous sign Capricorn: If we have not internalized a healthy sense of responsibility, we may have become rebels without a cause.  Aquarius asks us to stand for something and not just be against.  I personally hold the vision of peace and freedom for beloved Earth and all her people.  I stand for freedom. What are you for? What are your visions, hopes and dreams for yourself and the world?   What would you dare to dream and do if you knew you could not fail?

Chiron the wounded healer                                                                                                   Transiting Chiron, Mercury, Neptune, Vesta and the North Node are all in Aquarius during the Solar Eclipse, stressing the significance of embodying our ideals.  Chiron is an asteroid but it acts like a planet in our astrology.  Chiron is the bridge between the past (Saturn) and the future (Uranus). Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius.  Chiron in Aquarius characterizes where we have experienced the torment of being different or ahead of our time, and it symbolizes how we can heal through encountering and joining forces with other “black sheep.”

Listen to your intuition (gut instincts)                                                                                    Chiron’s close line up with Mercury and the solar eclipse urges us to increase our communication and collaboration with other visionaries, for our own healing and for the sake of the planet.  It is time to redefine our priorities and network with other like/light-minded souls.  Pay special attention to your intuition around Feb 10^th when The Sun joins Neptune, and look for messages relating to your destiny around Feb 20^th, when the Sun joins Vesta (home and hearth). “Try and try again. Aquarian Questions to Consider:

What is your destiny, your true path or calling?                                                                                   Are you working on goals that are feasible and worthy of your attention and resources?           What are your hopes, wishes, dreams, ideals in life, love, work and living?                                   Are you reaching your goals and objectives?                                                                                   What is the smartest, cleverest, most creative and easiest way to make your dream happen, without having to do it like everyone else is trying to do it?                                                             What is an unconventional way? What’s radical here?                                                                    What would Creator do (meaning, if one had all the power in the universe)?                                Who has already done what you are trying to do? What worked for them?                                       What resources do you have plenty of (time, money, space, information, skills, experience, contacts, customers, etc.) that you just aren’t using fully or leveraging well?
