The Expansion of Joy “The standard of success in life isn't the things. It isn't the money or the stuff. It is absolutely the amount of joy that you feel. Those that are succeeding and are thrilled and joyful in the unfolding will often tell you, ‘I've dreamed this since I was little. I imagined it, I pretended it, I used to practice with the hairbrush pretending it was a microphone.’ Purity is the alignment of energy. Doesn't matter what anybody else thinks about anything. It only matters what you think about it.” –Abraham/Hicks On November 9, 2007 the New Moon in magnetic Scorpio marks a spiritual crossroads where the consequences of our choices are above all monumental. Will we stay in our old ruts? Scorpio compels us to move beyond our programming. The human ego wants to have a fixed identity, to remain within the familiar and feel in control. Scorpio calls us to step into the unknown and release what we have outgrown—a job, a relationship, how we see ourselves and the world – whatever has become stifling to our soul. In Scorpio we learn there is no death only transformation, the eternal changes of form. We also learn that letting go and changing is not painful; it is holding onto what you have outgrown that causes suffering. What do you need to let go of right now? What is ready to be born? Are you living to your fullest potential and power? My favorite Martian Mars the co-ruler of Scorpio also plays an important role at this time. The mythic God of War trines (harmonious energy flow) this New Scorpio Moon and Uranus the Awakener the planet of unpredictability anything that comes into your life unplanned both good (you like it) and bad (you don’t like it) is Uranus. This forms a grand trine a circuit of positive energy that promotes compassion and courage. Mars is turning retrograde on November 15 – January 30, 2008. This occurrence only happens once every 26 months. In Cancer, Mars urges us to make peace with our past, reassess our primary needs and strategies and reduce unhealthy habits, interactions and situations as much as possible. Mars also brings out the “me first” attitude, impatient driving, competitiveness in social and business environments. Breathing deeply, patience and perseverance really count now. What we resist will persist. Happy Thanksgiving! The Sun moves into spirited Sagittarius on Thanksgiving Day and on November 24, we have the Full Moon in fun loving Gemini. If we have done our letting go work that Scorpio required, we are primed for another giant step forward now. Sagittarius invites us to expand consciousness. The Archer aims toward the heavens, toward greater truths and realities. The Gemini twins ask us to be inquisitive rather than cynical. What assumptions are holding you back? Where do you need to raise your sights? We all have Sagittarius somewhere in our natal chart along with lucky Jupiter its ruler, showing us the way to find our truth. “Aware or not, we have formulated a philosophy, a set of beliefs that dictates our options and choices. From birth onward, our worldview is shaped by our parents, culture, education, and religion. We are taught what is possible and what is not. This Full Moon helps us to see beyond the borders of our beliefs into new realities and new possibilities.” –Stephanie Austin Take a risk Uranus the Mythic God of Chaos moves forward on the Full Moon, opening the doors of perception and intensifying the need for freedom and exploration. We have had five months to consider the alternatives now it is time for action. Being retrograde since June and now advancing Uranus will add an impatient buzz. Even people who don’t drink coffee will feel as if they had 5 cups of espresso. Do what you can to stay grounded. Listen to your intuition and channel the energy into creative outlets and working out. Prepare for warp speed ahead. Stay as centered as possible. Doors are opening. Take a risk. When we are willing to take risks we live fearlessly. Feelings come from two places fear or freedom. When we take risks we live with passion. Passion gives us clarity and power. Passion is our authentic nature. The whole reason we are alive is to expand consciousness and joy. This happens when we are willing to get out of our comfort zones (ruts) and take a risk. Don’t be attached to the outcome. Freedom comes from having choices. The human mind can only focus on one thing at a time. Focus on what you want and not on what you don’t. The Law of Attraction brings to us whatever we think and feel. Gratitude will bring more into our lives immediately. Joy is what matters. "The next time a path appears in front of you in life, if you've always taken the path of least resistance, don't, because paths without resistance, paths without obstacles never lead anywhere. I don't say this to preach. I say this as much to remind myself as to tell you. Take the path that runs along the cliff, the path without guardrails. Because if you take that path, the shear exhilaration of the ride and the sheer joy that you feel when you finish will fill you with pride and will fill you with more confidence, and that, one day, will make you more money but that every day of your life will make you more whole, more fulfilled and more happy." - Harry Beckwith, “Selling The Invisible”Love and Peace, Kelley Rosano
