What were you born to be?

The sun is the center of our universe, Earth and all neighboring planets rotate around it. The sun is the center or your natal chart and it is what drives your entire chart.  Your natal sun represents your soul’s potential and purpose for being.  The Sun has just moved into his home sign Leo for the next thirty-days. Encouraging us to play, laugh, love, create, lighten up and be who we are destined to be.  Are you being who you were born to be?  We have a celebrated Total Solar Eclipse in regal Leo on August 1, 2008, another step on our path to entering the Age of Aquarius.  The Leo-Aquarius axis requires all of us to know who we are, be who we are and live in harmony with others.  

What were you born to be?

Wherever this eclipse falls in your natal chart or wherever you have Leo in your chart and we all have Leo somewhere.  Is where this shift will manifest.  This is our wake up call. Are you going in the right direction?  Are you doing what you were born to do?  Are you being the person you intended to be?  If you are then you are on track and will feel the wind in your sails carrying you for years to come. 

Or, are you resisting the call of your destiny? Have you been so off track pleasing others, holding yourself back or trying to be something that you are not?  Our destiny is born out of who we are and what we have come to be. Our destiny is not born out of doing. There is encouragement even for those who feel stuck or uncertain.  Let me explain, 12/12/12 is a significant date quickly approaching where we will have the Sun, Moon, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn conjunct in Sagittarius. Above all, beloved Earth and our beloved Milky Way will line up with the galactic center, i.e., the Great Central Sun or the Sun behind our Sun.  The galactic core is an intense frequency of love, light and freedom than our Gaia (Earth seen as a person) has never experienced.  As we approach the acceleration of 2012 we are experiencing the galactic core empowering us to be who we were destined to be. Additionally, we have significant astrology along the way shaking us up and out of our sleepy consciousness and quickening our soul’s purpose.   

Saturn and Uranus will face off changing the status quo

Uranus (Freedom, change, rebellion) and Saturn (lasting rewards, integrity, and honor) are opposing in people’s charts Fall of 2008 and over the next few years. I am observing this phenomenon with a most watchful eye.  The last time these two hooked up was in the mid 1960’s sparking the anti-war movement, the free-love movement, the civil rights movement, the women’s liberation movement.  Do you see where I am going with this?  I am not saying we are about to have a revolution.  I am saying we are having an evolution.  This New Moon in Leo Total Solar Eclipse on August 1^st  sounds the trumpets for your soul’s evolution it is time to express yourself, your voice, your essence and true reason for being.  Leo challenges us to find our center, our core truth around which everything in our life must pivot.   It takes great courage to be who we really are and not follow the crowd.  It takes courage to listen to our hearts; it takes willpower to walk our own path. It takes resolve to live the life we were meant to live.

What is your destiny?

Freedom and spiritual advancement does come with a price.  That is why I always laughed at the so called “free love” movement which brought us aids, STD’s and abortion.  What is so free about those nasty three?  Spiritual and personal advancement does require each one of us to go through a period of anxiety, confusion and disorientation. Know that what is happening is for your highest good, your soul’s freedom and true purpose for being; to get you on your right path to fulfill your destiny.  You are not alone.  Even the great leaders Buddha, Jesus, Lincoln and Washington were not without their fears and doubts and “stuck places” on their paths. In fact the word question contains the word ‘quest’ (to ask or seek). “In can be construed that the initial purpose of an opposition is to bring a person to a state of disorientation, only from there can the individual be initiated into new levels of awareness.  In short, without some stressor or anxiety (an anxiety to where there is no immediate solution), growth and indeed spiritual awareness is born.” –Gary P. Buddha had to witness sickness, old age, and death before he could follow his spiritual path.  This astrology can ultimately be seen to represent the call to adventure whereby “destiny has summoned the Hero and transferred his spiritual center of gravity from within the pale of his society to a zone unknown.” --Joseph Campbell

Harmony is respecting each other’s differences which creates the balanced whole.

The Age of Aquarius represents the age of peace, freedom and enlightenment for all people.  Harmony is not everyone agreeing.  Harmony is not all of us thinking, believing and acting alike.  Harmony is where we respect each other’s differences. We recognize that it is each of these differences which makes up the balanced whole.  We cannot make the whole world Christian and democratic.  The age of peace will come when we respect all groups of this world and allow each one to live in harmony and prosperity.  It is peace that brings prosperity not war.   8/8/08 will be the start of the Olympics in Beijing.  The entire world will be watching.  Focusing on what truly matters, not our differences, but our courage, love and strength as people. Countries who are working together in cooperation for the success of their teams and the harmony of the Olympics; inspiring and uplifting us all to go for the gold, what we really want.
